Diploma in Health & Social Care – Adults & Children & Young People – Levels 2 & 3

This wide-ranging qualification covers the skills and knowledge needed to care for others in a broad range of health or social care settings.

It is flexible to suit all fields of Health and Social Care. You can choose a pathway that suits your role - for example, working with people with a learning disability, people with dementia or children and young people.

This is the main qualification required by the Care Quality Commission in England and the Care Councils in Wales and Northern Ireland.

These are the recognised qualifications for care workers and senior care workers in health and social care.

Certificate and Diploma for the Children and Young People's Workforce Levels 2 & 3

Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care and Children and Young People's Services – Level 5

Show that you have the skills needed to keep a care-provision organisation running smoothly with the Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care and Children and Young People's Services.

Level 2 Award in Employment Responsibilities and Rights in Health, Social Care or Children and Young People's Settings (QCF)

This is a one unit qualification it covers the knowledge to equip learners with an understanding of the Health, Social Care and Children and Young People's sectors and their role within it.

The qualification has been developed to meet specific needs in England and Northern Ireland and is available to learners aged 16 and over.

Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care and Children and Young People's Services (England) (QCF)

The Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care and Children and Young People's Services is aimed at individuals who lead social care provision in an adult or a children and young people's setting, either as managers of the provision or as senior practitioners.

Level 2 & 3 Certificate in Dementia Care (QCF)

These qualifications provide an awareness of dementia and dementia care and are aimed at occupational areas across all service user groups and ages, working in statutory (including NHS), private and voluntary agencies. This also includes healthcare/care assistants, support/key workers, family support workers and team leaders/first line supervisors.

Level 2 & 3 Certificates in Preparing to Work in Adult Social Care (QCF) - England

This certificate is for learners who may be interested in or new to working in adult social care sector in England. Learners will assess knowledge around the core areas related to adult social care work.

Level 2 Award in Health & Safety in Health and Social Care

Who needs this qualification?
This qualification is specifically targeted at employees working in hospitals and care homes in the public and private sectors. This qualification also has the flexibility to suit differing client needs.

Level 2 Award in Hygiene (Infection Control) in Health and Social Care

In the UK over a million people are employed as carers and millions more provide informal care and support for relatives and friends. This qualification is designed as an introduction to hygiene, ensuring that vulnerable people are not exposed to unnecessary risks. This qualification is aimed at employees who have already received basic health and safety training and would benefit from additional focused training in hygiene hazards and controls. This would include carers and others who provide cleaning and support services in a broad range of contexts.
