This course will enable participants to gain knowledge about working with substance abusers. Candidates will have the opportunity to familiarise themselves with commonly used recreational drugs such as alcohol, look at the impact of recreational drugs and alcohol use on young people, and explore the motivations behind their dependency and possible scenarios in which people’s addictions become out of control.

To understand different circumstances behind why a person may depend on drugs and alcohol
The effect substance abuse has on a person
The Working with Substance Abuse course is delivered in 3 hours and candidates must demonstrate a willingness to learn along with interaction of group activities.
